Just back from not one, but two hospital stays. Hoping to get new paintings into my blog very soon. Meanwhile, I did manage to accomplish one Christmas painted beanie bear which has been listed on eBay on auction. Please check back soon for future paintings... thank you.

Pear and Grapes 7x5 Oil

More fruit and much brighter this time ~ Pear with Grapes 7x5 oil on gessoed masonite. Long drying time, along with time out for another project, but we seem to have made it. Black Grapes

Today it's black grapes ~ just because they were my Dad's favorites. He was a grape lover, and the black ones especially, because they reminded him of the "old country". First, just a few lines regarding my painted stuffed bears, Lamplight Bears, and then on to the new Lamplight Miniature Paintings. The bears are beanies, and also include dogs and cats. After selling many hundreds of them on eBay during the past 6 years or so, I've lost count, but have kept photos of some of my favorites, one of which is pictured here (Fancy Pants). They are all original designs, hand-painted in dyes applied with small brushes. The paintings are lightly diamond-dusted for sparkle under the lamplight ~ and I have loved doing them all. I will continue to do them! (To see my painted beanie album site, click here:

It's never too late...

No it's never too late to go back to painting, in spite of spending one's time on many other activities for some time. Seems like only yesterday that I did this every day of the week...so why not try for one mini-painting two or three times a week? I look forward to it.
